Quill CEO Ed Bussey is shortlisted for Scale-Up Entrepreneur of the Year
We’re hugely pleased to congratulate our CEO, Ed Bussey, on his shortlisting for the 2018 NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards.
Now in their sixth year, the NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards acknowledge the hard work and inspiring stories of British entrepreneurs and businesses in Great Britain. The Awards have celebrated many outstanding entrepreneurs in past years, including some who have gone on to become household names.
Competing in the Scale-Up Entrepreneur of the Year category, Ed joins a prestigious group of nominees blazing a trail in British business. Fellow competitors in Ed’s category include Adam Ludwin & Dominic Joseph of search intelligence company Captify, Daniel Brooks of Virtual Human Resources and Elnur Seyidli, Enver Cebi & Ufuk Secgin of HalalBooking Ltd.
Ed’s successful career in fast-growth internet businesses began in 2000, as a founding member and Global Marketing Director of pre-dot-com ecommerce innovator Figleaves.com. Subsequent positions included Chief Operating Officer at ZYB, an award-winning mobile social networking pioneer, as well as various non-executive director, chairman and internet advisory positions with major ecommerce brands.
Ed has met previous success at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards, winning ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ in 2015 for his work with Quill. Creator of the Awards, Francesca James, comments: “Entrepreneurs inject competition into markets, create jobs and spur innovation. In many cases their businesses change the ways in which we live and work. These awards are different because they celebrate the story behind these people – true entrepreneurs are as much about their story as they are about their balance sheet.”
Quill has enjoyed substantial recent success in the awards sphere, placing as a finalist in both the National Business Awards and eCommerce Awards 2018. The winners of the Great British Entrepreneur Awards will be announced on Tuesday 9th October at Coutts on the Strand, London.
