Ed Bussey

Founder & CEO

Ed began his career in the Royal Navy, followed by a number of security and counter-terrorism roles with the UK diplomatic service. Ed was part of the founding team and Global Marketing Director of online fashion retailer Figleaves.com – which was acquired by N Brown Plc. – and then Chief Operating Officer at ZYB, which was acquired by Vodafone Plc. Ed has also held a number of non-executive director and advisory roles, including PCCW (Hong Kong), Secret Sales, Evans Cycles and Mr & Mrs Smith Boutique Hotels. Ed graduated in Natural Science from Emmanuel College, Cambridge University.

Wulfric Light-Wilkinson

Chief Commercial Officer

Wulfric joined Quill from Forward3D, where he held positions on the executive team and Board, whilst running the sales and marketing teams globally as Commercial Director and Vice President, Sales. He has a rich digital background spanning affiliate, search and social media disciplines. Prior to Forward3D, Wulfric was Business Development Director at digital performance agency Found.

Nathalie du Preez

Chief Operations Officer

Born and raised in South Africa, Nathalie began her career in 2005 with Goldman Sachs in their investment banking division in New York. In the years since, she has worked in brand management at Colgate-Palmolive, led performance search marketing at Net-a-Porter, co-founded a start-up and, most recently, held the title of COO at on-demand beauty services company blow LTD. She holds a BSc in Economics magna cum laude from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School.

Zaid Sulaiman

VP Engineering

Zaid joined Quill from Constant Commerce, where he acted as a member of the management board in charge of technology and data divisions, while holding the position of VP Engineering. With over 13 years’ industry experience, he is adept at delivering complex platforms and scaling technical teams. Prior to joining Constant Commerce, Zaid was Technical Lead at gaming software provider OpenBet. He has Computing and Computer Science degrees from two prestigious universities: King’s College & Imperial College London.

Lee Rowley

Chief Financial Officer

Lee joined Quill from Zoopla Property Group Plc, where he served as Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, supporting the business through its transition from private to public and through a number of acquisitions. Prior to joining Zoopla Property Group, Lee held Commercial Finance roles at Betfair Group Plc. Lee is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds a degree in Natural Sciences from Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge.

Gwyn Jones

Chairman

Formerly CEO of advertising agency, BBH (Bartle Bogle Hegarty), Gwyn was appointed Chairman in 2015, bringing almost three decades of creative experience to Quill.

Edwina Lawry

Content Strategy Director

Originally from Sydney, Edwina has over 12 years’ experience in print and digital content working for a huge range of brands, including Cisco, Lenovo and Bupa. In 2016 she moved from day-to-day strategic editorial to lead King Content’s team in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. She joined Quill in early 2018, bringing with her a wealth of expertise in content leadership and implementation.

Scarlett Pierce

Head of Content

First joining Quill in July 2015, Scarlett’s rapid upward trajectory through the company has culminated in her current role as Head of Content. A graduate of Art History and English from the University of Nottingham, she briefly pursued a career in design while working for PAMONO in Berlin, before switching her focus to performance-driven digital content. Scarlett considers a client-centric mindset and a people-first approach to be her strengths.

Lauren Johnson-Ginn

Head of Marketing Communications

Lauren joined Quill as a freelance writer in its founding year of 2011, before progressing to an in-house Production Editor role. A highly imaginative and versatile content strategist, editor and writer, she spent five years in editorial positions before progressing to the marketing department in 2016, before being promoted to Head of Marketing Communications. Passionate about digital, she is a ravenous devourer of online content.
